Lidia Bistrian (37)-married Lucian Palcu and have 2 Children; Lois and Elias. They currently live in Knoxville, TN. Lidia is a graduate of Pelissipi State Univeristy.
Emilia Bistrian (36)-married Abel Ana and remained in Romania. She was the first Bistrian to get married and was never able to make it to the United States.
Cornel Bistrian (33)-founded Christ for the Nations Institute in Cluj, Romania, where he met Dorina who was one of his students. They later married and now have two children: Nathan and Sarah. A graduate of CFNI. For more information please visit http://www.cfni.org/bible_schools_member_schools.php
Eugenia Bistrian (31)-married Marius Pop and have three children: Landon, Fineas and Venise. They are currently living in Romania where they are pastoring a church in a small town outside of Bucharest. A graduate of CFNI and DBU.
Peter Bistrian (29)-married Nelly Pop, a sweet girl from Transylvania. He is living in Dallas, TX with his two children, Ruth and Mathias. He is the CEO of B & C Electric. A graduate of CFNI.
Ana Bistrian (28)-not married yet, but it's in the air. She also lives in Dallas, TX where she just finished massage therapy school. Also a graduate of CFNI.
Emanuel Bistrian (26)-married Bianca Lupas from Arad, Romania. He is currently living in Arad where he operates a Real Estate Investment Firm. They have a baby boy named Joshua. A graduate of CFNI.
Samuel Bistrian (25)-married Alejandra Villegas, from Cali, Colombia. They have two children; Ilona Sydelle who is 3 and and Emma Sophia who was just born September 27, 2007. Samuel is a graduate of CFNI, YWAM and DBU. His current occupation is Department Manager at Neiman Marcus in Dallas, TX.
Daniel Bistrian (24)-currently in search for Miss Teen Transylvania. He now lives in Cluj, Romania where he is the Dean of Students at Christ for the Nations, a Missions and Theology school. Daniel is a graduate of CFNI.
Maria Bistrian (21)-surprisingly not married, but eagerly awaiting on Jesse Santana to clear the air and give the date. Maria is a graduate of CFNI and currently attending DBU.
Abel Bistrian (19)-moved from Knoxville, TN to Cluj, Romania upon finishing high school. Also in search of Miss Teen Transylvania. Abel is currently enrolled in CFNR.
The Early Years
My name is Samuel Bistrian and I was born in the small Transylvanian village of Benesti, Romania on April 3, 1982. When I was 8 years old and shortly after the Communist Regime fell, my family and I emmigrated to the United States in hopes for a better life. Our journey in America was a bit difficult, considering all the challenges facing a family of 13 in a busy city like Chicago. After living in Chicago for two years my parents decided to move to Knoxville, TN because to some degree, it was more like Romania. It was slower paced, more mountainous and the people seemed nicer. However, Tennessee had it's own problems. Because of our financial situation and neither parent able to work, we had to live in government housing projects where we were under constant fear, harassment and abuse by other kids in the neighborhood. Plus, the gun shots, robberies and drugs were enough to terrorize anyone. After 5 years of living in those slums and through the help of some very compassionate Christians, we were able to get a house through Habitat for Humanity.
